DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team extended their winning streak against conference opponents to 19 games as they defeated the Crown College Storm by a final score of 4-0 on Saints Field Saturday afternoon.

#Sarah Bartlette# (Jr.-East Grand Forks, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's) leads the Saints with two goals in the game, the opening tally with an assist from CSS scoring leader #Robin Johnson# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Marshall School) and another score in the second half thanks to an assist from #Beth Flesvig# (Jr.-Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS).

#Angie Groh# (Jr.-Andover, Minn./St. Francis HS) scored her sixth point of the weekend when she booted a free kick to the top right corner of the net for an unassisted tally. #Jen Krokum# (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./East HS) added the fourth and final goal with a high shot that bounced off the crossbar and into the net as Johnson earned her second assist of the game.

The Saints played 21 players throughout the course of the game, and nine finished with at least one shot on goal. The Saints had 24 total shots with 16 aimed on net. CSS Goalkeeper #Erin Olejnicak# (Fr.-Brainerd, Minn.) earned the shutout in her first collegiate start, making two saves.

The Saints hit the road next weekend for a conference matchup against the Martin Luther College Knights. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., immediately following the men's match.
