CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Men's Soccer Release
DULUTH, Minn. – St. Scholastica men's soccer junior #Toby Peter# (
Jr.-Spalt, Germany/J.S. Bach) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine All-District 5 College Division first team; it was announced yesterday.
Peter, who was a second team academic all-district selection last year, is now eligible for academic All-American honors after being chosen for the region's first team this season. Peter is juts one of three juniors to make the first team in the region.
Peter is currently carrying a 3.96 grade-point-average and majors in Economics and History. He leads the team with 22 points this season with five goals and a team-high 12 assists.
To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for their career and have at least a sophomore standing.
The team is comprised of all NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA student-athletes from Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota and is voted on by members of CoSIDA.
