HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio – St. Scholastica senior Katelyn Meger (Sr.-Webster, Minn./New Prague) wrapped up her collegiate cross country career today by finishing 43rd for the second consecutive year at the NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country Championships at Highland Park Golf Course.

A total of 279 runners took part in the championships that was hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College. Meger, who set a program record time at last year’s championships, was off that pace this year finishing in a time of 23:03.

The top 35 runners earn All-American status and Meger was just 12 seconds slower than the 35th place finisher. Meger is the first CSS athlete to compete in a NCAA Championship event on more than one occasion. Meger will now look forward to the CSS track & field season.

Wendy Paulus of St. Lawrence College won the event with a time of 21:28 seconds. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire won the team championship with 171 points.
