NSCAA All-North/Central Region Teams
DULUTH, Minn. – The accolades keep piling up for St. Scholastica men's soccer junior #Toby Peter# (
Jr.-Spalt, Germany/J.S. Bach) as he has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-North/Central Region second team it was announced recently.
Peter has already been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America College Division Second Team, the first CSS athlete to receive such honor.
Peter was named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Player of the Year for a second time and was the UMAC Tournament Most Valuable Player.
Peter has a 3.96 cumulative grade-point-average and majors in History and Economics. He led the Saints this season with 28 points on six goals and 16 assists. The 16 assists were a St. Scholastica season record.
To be nominated for consideration, student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout their career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team; be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA College Services member; be a junior or above in academic standing at the current institution and either be in their second year at the current school if a transfer student.
