Saints receive the honor for the 10th straight year

DULUTH, Minn. – For the 10th year in a row, the St. Scholastica women's soccer team received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) College Team Academic Award, it was announced recently.

To qualify, the team's grade-point-average must be a 3.0 or higher. This year's award was for the 2008-09 academic year and the Saints had a team grade-point-average of 3.36. A total of 332 women's teams qualified for the honor.

The Saints have received the award every year since 2000. St. Scholastica and the University of Minnesota-Morris were the only Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) schools to get recognized.
