This Week in the UMAC

ST. PAUL – St. Scholastica softball players Brynn Wollak (Fr.-Hugo, Minn./Stillwater) and Jenn Falk (So.-Altona, Man.) have been named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Athletes of the Week; it was announced today by UMAC Sports Information Director Greg Johnson.

Wollak was named the conference’s player of the week after driving in 14 runs on 13 hits as the Saints went 8-0 and captured the UMAC regular season championship. Wollak batted .591 with four doubles, two triples, and two home runs.

Falk was named the UMAC Pitcher of the Week after going 5-0, while not allowing a run last week. In her first game of the week against Northwestern College, Falk threw the third prefect game in program history as she struck out 14 of the 15 batters that she faced. She allowed just eight hits in the five games and struck out 39.
