INDIANAPOLIS – St. Scholastica women’s tennis freshman Ploy Suthijindawong (Fr.-Bangkok, Thailand/Duluth Central) has earned a spot in the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Individual Championships; it was announced today.

The individual championships include 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams. Ploy is one of the 32 singles players. She becomes the first CSS women’s tennis player in program history to earn a bid. Ploy has an 18-1 record, including an 18-match winning streak entering NCAA Tournament team action tomorrow. She was named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Player of the Year yesterday.

The singles and doubles championships will be co-hosted by Oglethorpe University and Gwinnett Sports Commission, May 22-24, at Collins Hill Athletic Club in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The draw for the individual championships will be done by the women’s tennis committee and will be released on the last day of the team championships.
