ST. PAUL – St. Scholastica senior goaltender #Zach Kleiman# (
Sr.-Ottawa, Ont.) has been named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Player of the Week; it was announced today by NCHA Sports Information Director Brian Monahan.
In over 86 minutes of action last weekend, Kleiman stopped 49 shots and allowed one goal in two wins over the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. On Friday night, Kleiman came in relief of the injured #Brennan Poderzay# (
So.-Tower, Minn.) in the second period with the Saints trailing 2-1, and stopped 19 shots, while CSS rallied to a 5-2 victory.
Kleiman got the start on Saturday night and had a shutout working until the final two minutes of the game as the Saints swept the Blugolds with a 2-1 victory. He stopped 30 shots to earn his seventh win of the season as the Saints were out-shot for the second night in a row.

Sr.-North Vancouver, B.C.) was the player of the week after CSS swept the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
The Saints will be on the road this weekend when they face 14th-ranked University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Friday night and the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Saturday. Both games can be heard on ESPN Radio 560-WEBC.
