DULUTH, Minn. - The Saints are nearing the end of the regular season as Crown College and Northwestern College come to town this weekend. Game time is approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday night against the Storm and 5 p.m. on Saturday night against the Eagles.

Last Action: The Saints had three scorers get into double-digits in their last game against Presentation. Despite the scoring, the Saints lost 71-67. #Danny Schmitz# (Hinckley, Minn.) led all scorers with 23 points, #Max Dibrell# (Duluth, Minn.) and #Brett Tester# (Andover, Minn.) chipped in 14 and 13 respectively. The Storm had a close game, but lost 68-64 to North Central. Mike Landers led the Storm with 18 points and six rebounds. Northwestern has continued its winning ways and beat Martin Luther College 93-55 in their last game. Four Eagles scored in double figures, including 20 points from Stephen Hanson, who led all players on the court that night.

Saints Notes: The Saints have lost three of four against fellow UMAC teams. However, the Saints have put on a show for the home crown, winning five of their last six home games, after losing their first four…Danny Schmitz (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS), #Chris Hamers# (Onamia, Minn.) and Brett Tester (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) are all averaging double figures on the year. The trio is putting up 12.2, 11.9 and 11.3 points per game respectively. Tester has scored in double figures in six of the team's last seven games, averaging 16.1 points over those last seven….Hamers is shooting .338 percent from beyond the arc to lead the team in that category….The Saints are averaging 64.5 points per game.

Crown Storm Notes:The Storm have lost 12 of 13, by an average of 14.5 points. Mike Landers is leading the team in scoring, and is averaging 13.8 over the last five games. Landers is also averaging 6.8 rebounds per game. The Storm as a team is averaging 67.2 points per game.

Northwestern Eagles Notes: The Eagles have two players averaging double figures in points. Reid Berens and Stephen Hanson are averaging 14.3 and 11.6 points per game. The Eagles have five guys at eight points per game or higher. Hanson and Berens are also the teams leading rebounders at 6.2 and 6.1 per game respectively. In Berens' last two games he averaged 17 points per game, 8.5 rebounds, and three assists, which led to him being honored with UMAC player of the week. The Eagles have won 11 games in a row and as a team are averaging 74.3 points per game.

Last Meetings: Crown beat the Saints in a close game 67-65 to give the Storm their first UMAC and overall win on the year. #Jonah Dahlman# (Braham, Minn.) had a career-high 17 points to lead the Saints in that game. Landers had 17 points to lead the Storm.

In another close match-up Northwestern beat the Saints 87-82. Brett Tester (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) pitched in a career-high at that point, 20 points to lead the Saints. Tom Gisler led the Eagles with 16 points off the bench.
