MEGER EARNS NATIONAL ALL-ACADEMIC HONOR FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR

NEW ORLEANS – Senior St. Scholastica cross country student-athlete #Katelyn Meger# (Sr.-Webster, Minn./New Prague) has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the second consecutive year; it was announced on Thursday.

Meger received NCAA Division III women's cross country's first Elite 88 award in the fall, which recognizes both academic and athletic accomplishments at the highest level. She is a Nursing and a Psychology major and became the first CSS athlete to compete in back-to-back NCAA Championship final events.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average and must finish in the top 35 among the field at their respective NCAA regional meet.
