CSS EARNS 11 ACADEMIC ALL-NCHA HONORS FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR

ST. PAUL – For the second consecutive year, the St. Scholastica hockey team had a league-best 11 members selected to the Academic All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) team; it was announced today by NCHA Sports Information Director Brian Monahan.

Seniors #Dustin DeGagne# (Sr.-Winnipeg, Man.), #Zach Kleiman# (Sr.-Ottawa, Ont.), #Chris Meagher# (Sr.-Victoria, B.C.), #Rob Rodgers# (Sr.-Salmon Arm, B.C.), and #Aaron Spotts# (Sr.-Spokane, Wash.) earn Academic All-NCHA laurels for a second time.

First time nominees include senior #Jordan Baird# (Sr.-Port McNeill, B.C.), junior #Riley Riddell# (Jr.-Wawota, Sask.), and sophomores #Carter Davis# (So.-Moose Jaw, Sask.), #Jeremy Dawes# (So.-Winnipeg, Man.), #Daman Milsom# (So.-Kelowna, B.C.) and #Stephane Phaneuf# (So.-Winnipeg, Man.).

St. Norbert College had the second-most nominations with eight, followed by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with seven.

University of Wisconsin-Superior's Brian Bina was named the NCHA Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
