Luke Beckwith breaks school pole vault record

ST. PETER, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team competed at the Drake Alternatives, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday.

The lone school record on the day was broken by #Luke Beckwith# (Fr.-Saginaw, Minn./Proctor) in the pole vault as he cleared a height of 13'8.25” (4.17m).

#Justin Hanson# (Fr.-Atwater, Minn./Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City) placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.10 seconds. #Chris Kaplan# (Fr.-Elysian, Minn./Waterville-Elysian-Morristown) was third in the triple jump with a leap of 41'-3” (12.57m). #Shane Dombrovski# (Fr.-Foley, Minn.) was sixth in that event with a jump of 39'-0.5” (11.90m).

#Joe Ohlin# (So.-Baxter, Minn.) was sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.66 seconds. #Tony Evans# (Jr.-New Richmond, Wis.) was also sixth in the javelin throw with a distance of 136'-10” (41.71m).

The Saints will host the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday on the campus of the UW-Superior. Action begins at noon.
