BECKWITH BREAKS POLE VAULT RECORD AT EAGLE OPEN

LA CROSSE, Wis. – St. Scholastica's #Cyrus Beckwith# (Jr.-Saginaw, Minn./Proctor) broke the program record in the pole vault at Friday night's Eagle Open, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Beckwith cleared a height of 14'-1.25” (4.30m) to shatter the old record, held by his brother #Luke Beckwith# (Fr.-Saginaw, Minn./Proctor).

#Tony Evans# (Jr.-New Richmond, Wis.) was second in the javelin with a toss of 150'-11” (46.01m). #Peter Drinkwine# (Fr.-Superior, Wis.) was ninth in the triple jump with a leap of 42'-8.75” (13.02m). #Kelin Dunfee# (Fr.-St. Paul, Minn./Central) was 11th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.67 seconds.

The Saints will compete at the Winona Open tomorrow.
