DULUTH, Minn. – St. Scholastica head softball coach Jen Walter was inducted into the Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches' Association Hall of Fame as a player this past Sunday in Mankato.

Walter was a three-year starting catcher at Wadena High School from 1979-81. In those three years, she was a two-time All-State selection, was part of the 1979 state championship team, and the 1980 and 1981 state teams.

Walter was nominated by current Big Lake High School softball coach Kim Bowen, who was 1986 graduate of Wadena High School.

This past spring, Walter won her 300th game for the Saints, becoming the second-fastest coach in CSS history to reach the 300 milestone. She was also named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year and the sixth time in her career.
