WOMEN’S HOCKEY RECRUITS: TWO FROM THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION

DULUTH, Minn. – Forward Kristen Kilian (Cody, Wyo./National Sports Academy) and defenseman Kiana Leisz (Casper, Wyoming/Natrona County (Wyoming Selects)) will come over to St. Scholastica from the great state of Wyoming.

Kilian, a native of Cody, Wyo., was part of the New York State U19 Championship team at the National Sports Academy, located in Lake Placid, N.Y., earlier this year. The team went on to nationals before falling. Kilian had four goals and eight assists this past season.

Leisz, a native of Casper, Wyo., was named to the Wyoming All-State team this past year. Leisz was part of the Wyoming Girls U19 squad that attended the 2010 Tier II USA Hockey National Tournament.

Leisz played for three teams in 2009-10: Casper Oilers Midget A, Casper Lady Oilers 19U, and Team Wyoming U19. She was a team captain for the Casper Lady Oilers and Team Wyoming. In 63 games played between the three teams, Leisz had 24 goals and 23 assists.

The Saints will play their first game on November 5th at Mars Lakeview Arena against Augsburg College.
