SEELEY EARNS USTFCCCA ACADEMIC HONORS

NEW ORLEANS – St. Scholastica sophomore thrower #Alec Seeley# (So.-Cadott, Wis.) was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Academic Track & Field team; it was announced today by USTFCCCA Communications Manager Tom Lewis.

Seeley is one 330 track & field athletes, representing 99 NCAA Division III institutions, receiving such accolades.

Seeley was an All-Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) selection in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She met a NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark in the hammer throw, during the outdoor season. Seeley broke two indoor records and two outdoor records this past year and was named UMAC Athlete of the Week on four different occasions.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met either the NCAA Division III indoor or outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard.
