SAINTS AND VIKINGS PLAY TO SCORELESS TIE

Mahlum earns first shutout of the season in net.

MANKATO, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team played 110 minutes including two overtime periods before settling for a scoreless tie against conference rival Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints' record moves to 2-4-1 (2-0-1 UMAC), while the Vikings are now 5-1-1 (1-0-1 UMAC).

Goalkeeper #Bailey Mahlum# earned her first shutout of the season, making four saves in the tie. Alexa Mowery made 20 saves for the Vikings.

#Andrea Beatt# led the Saints with five shots on goal. #Kaylee Gombold# contributed four shots of her own, and #Megan Flesvig# added three while playing all 110 minutes for the Saints.

Anna Potz led the Vikings with two shots on net.

CSS returns home next weekend, beginning with a Saturday afternoon game with the University of Minn.-Morris Cougars, with opening kick scheduled for Noon.
