DULUTH, Minn. – It has been three weeks since the St. Scholastica men's and women's soccer teams last played at home, but they will be back at Saints Field on Saturday and Sunday, hosting the University of Minnesota-Morris on Saturday and Presentation College on Sunday. The women's soccer team will be honoring their two seniors on Saturday.

The Cougars were picked to finish second in the conference, according to the preseason coaches' poll, after winning the regular season title last season … However, the Cougars are off to a 2-3-2 start and are 1-1 in the league, following a controversial loss to Northwestern College last Saturday … It was originally ruled a tie after Morris scored the game-tying goal with less than 10 seconds to play … However, after an appeal it was ruled since there was an inappropriate clock stoppage with three minutes to play, that Northwestern was ruled the winner … Comparing common opponents, the Cougars fell to St. Thomas 2-0, but tied Macalester 1-1 … Five different Cougars have scored goals this season … Tyler Simpson and Tyler Webber have almost split time in net with Simpson having a 0.45 goals-against-average … All of the Cougars' contests have been decided by two goals or less.
