HOUGHTON, Mich. – Senior #Julia Curry# continued to lead the St. Scholastica women skiers at the USSA SuperTour at Michigan Tech in the women's 5km classic on Saturday.
Curry posted at time of 18:59.3, to finish 17th overall in the SuperTour and 12th in the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) NCAA qualifier field.
Team CXC Elite Team member, Maria Stuber, took the top spot in 17:34.6. University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's Carolyn Freeman finished second overall and first in the college race in a time of 17:48.3. Northern Michigan University's Christina Turman finished third overall and second in the CCSA in 17:52.7. Michigan Tech's Malin Eriksson rounded out the CCSA podium in 17:56.6, good enough for fifth in the SuperTour field.
CSS sophomore #Christina Groulx# finished among the CCSA in 16th with a time 18:59.3 and freshman #Brooke Adams# finished 17th in 19:19.8 to round out the Saints scoring.
The Saints women finished fourth as a team. Northern Michigan won, Michigan Tech was second, and UW-Green Bay was third.
The Saints continue action at the SuperTour in Houghton on Sunday with the 10km mass start freestyle.
