OSHKOSH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh scored with 19 seconds left in the first half and it was enough to defeat the St. Scholastica men's soccer team on Sunday in a non-conference contest.
In the second-ever meeting between the two programs, the Titans (6-4-2) got a goal from Daniel Fisher off a deflection with 19 seconds left in the first half to put Oshkosh up 1-0. The goal broke a string of 429 minutes without a goal by the Titans.
CSS controlled play in the second half and had the game-tying goal wiped off the board due to an offside call. In the end, the score held up and the Saints fell to the Titans for the second consecutive year by a 1-0 score.
Sam Reed (Eastbourne, England/Causeway School) made seven saves in the loss for CSS. James Pike made five saves in the victory for the Titans.
