ST. PAUL – St. Scholastica track & field athletes #Cyrus Beckwith# and #Alec Seeley# have been named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Players of the Week in their respective sports, it was announced today.
Cyrus Beckwith was named the UMAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week. For the second consecutive meet, Beckwith broke the program's pole vault record, clearing a height of 14'-1.25” (4.30m) to finish as the top collegiate in that event at the St. Olaf Invitational on Friday night.
Alec Seeley was named the UMAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week. Seeley took first place in the weight throw at the St. Olaf Invitational with a toss of 48'-9” (14.86m), just missing her own school record by .02 meters.
