DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team had Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) competing at Grand Valley State (Mich.) on Friday and Saturday, while everyone else was at UW-La Crosse on Friday night.

Grand Valley State Second to Last Chance Meet
Peterson was the lone male Saint competing on Friday in Michigan and he would place third in the shot put with a toss of 44'2.75” (13.48m). He would also place 13th and 15th, respectively, in the discus throw and hammer throw.

At the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Friday night, Kelin Dunfee (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Central HS) finished fourth in javelin throw with mark of 153'10” (46.89m). Corey Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Hermantown HS) was fifth in the high jump, clearing 5'10.75” (1.80m). Samora Johnson (Milwaukee, Wis./Milwaukee Pius XI (UW-Whitewater)) placed eighth in the 200m dash with a time of 22.97.

Grand Valley State Last Chance Meet
Peterson placed 14th in the shot put on Saturday with a mark of 45'7.75” (13.91m) and 18th in the discus throw with a toss of 139'7” (42.55m).

The Saints will have a couple more last chance meets next week as Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) will be at the Gregory Multi at North Central College (Ill.) on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the rest will be back in La Crosse for the UW-La Crosse Qualifier on Thursday.
