DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's and women's track & field teams will have just two more meets this week to try and qualify individuals for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in La Crosse, Wis. starting on May 23rd.

About the Saints

Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) and Emily Schwantke (Brook Park, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS) will be the only Saints competing at the Gregory Multi's at North Central on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Becky Huberty (Lena, Wis./Lena HS) had a big weekend for the Saints last week and in particular on Friday at the Grand Valley State Second to last Chance Meet. Huberty broke her own program record in the shot put with a mark of 44'0.75” (13.43m) to finish second. That is currently ranked 20th in NCAA Division III. She also moved up the national list in the hammer throw with a career-best toss of 167'9” (51.13m) and is ranked 14th nationally in that event.

Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) set the program record in the high jump clearing 5'4.5” (1.64m) to finish second in that event at Grand Valley State.

A third record broken at Grand Valley State was Brittany Ludwig (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) in the discus throw on Saturday with a mark of 130'10” (39.89m).
