PREVIEW: Tennis Teams Prep for UMAC Tournament

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's and women's tennis teams will be at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis this weekend for the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Tournament.

Friday:
Men: St. Scholastica vs. North Central – 6 p.m.
Women: St. Scholastica vs. Bethany Lutheran – 6 p.m.
Men: Northwestern vs. Martin Luther – 8:30 p.m.
Women: Northwestern vs. Minnesota Morris – 8:30 p.m.
Saturday:
Men's Championship – 11 a.m.
Women's Championship – 11 a.m.

About the Saints
Record: 18-8, 10-0 UMAC

  • The Saints won their 17th consecutive UMAC Regular Season title last Saturday, blanking rival Northwestern College 9-0.
  • The Saints have won 12 postseason titles, including last season, which was first year the title was decided in a team tournament format.

  • The Vikings ended the season with three straight road matches, resulting in a 1-2 record.
  • Rebecca Kopacek went 4-6 at No. 1 singles and she teamed with Marissa Teems to go 4-6 at No. 1 doubles.
  • The Vikings were 27-33 in conference singles action and 12-18 in doubles play this spring.
