Peterson with Two Wins and a Runner-Up at Lee Krough

ST. PETER, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team won four events on Saturday at the Lee Krough Invitational, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College.

Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) won the discus and the hammer throw, while placing second in the shot put. Peterson won the discus with toss of 150'0" (45.72m). He won the hammer throw with a mark of 182'2" (55.52m). His runner-up shot put toss was 46'10.75" (14.29m). All three were personal-best marks for the outdoor season.

Charlie Habermann (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS) and Luke McKenzie (Taylors Falls, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) swept the top two spots in the 1,500m run. Habermann's winning time was 4:03.06, while McKenzie's second place time was 4:03.51. McKenzie also won the 800m dash with a time of 1:56.89. Kelin Dunfee (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Central HS) placed fifth in both of those events.

Habermann was second in the 5,000m run, finishing in 15:51.42. Brian Riley (Redwood Falls, Minn./Redwood Valley HS) placed fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase, posting a time of 10:57.09. Mike Naumann (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) was fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 58.12.
 
Corey Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Hermantown HS) finished third in the high jump, clearing 6'0.75" (1.85m). Alex Horoshak (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors HS) was fourth in the long jump with a leap of 20'9.75" (6.34m). Charlie Fernow (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) was fifth in the shot put with a mark of 43'1" (13.13m).

Emporia Multi's (Results)
Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) competed in the decathlon at the Emporia State University Open Multi's on Thursday and Friday.

Wagner finished in fourth place with 6,257 points, which was the top NCAA Division III performance at the meet. Wagner ran a personal-best time of 11.25 in the 100m dash to begin the event.

The Saints will be at the St. Norbert College Invite on Thursday. Events are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
