Complete ResultsLA CROSSE, Wis. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team had its first outoor meet of the season on Saturday when it took part on the Ashton May Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Mike Naumann (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) placed second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.40.
Corey Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Hermantown HS) was also second in the high jump, clearing 6'2.75" (1.90m).
Zach Visina (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) was eighth in that event, clearing a height of 5'10.75" (1.80m).
Chris Lawson (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village) was third in the 5000m run, posting a program-record time of 15:17.95.
Charlie Habermann (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS) and
Luke McKenzie (Taylors Falls, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) also both broke the program record in the 1,500m run. Habermann's time was 4:01.10 and McKenzie's time was 4:01.90.
Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) was also fourth in the javelin with a mark of 146'10" (44.77m).
Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) was fourth in the discus with a toss of 147'6" (44.96m). Peterson was also fourth in the hammer throw with a personal-best mark of 182'1" (55.51m).
Charlie Fernow (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) was seventh in that event with a toss of 153'11" (46.91m).
The Saints will be competing at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcon Invitational next Saturday.
Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) will also be taking part in the Emporia State (Kan.) Multi's on Thursday and Friday next week.
