DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team competed at North Central College (Ill.) and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Thursday and Friday.
Dr. Keeler Invitational (Results)Three Saints competed at the Dr. Keeler Invitational, hosted by North Central College (Ill.) on Thursday.
Brittany Ludwig (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) placed 19th in the discus toss with a mark of 115'1" (35.09m).
Chelsea Johnson (North Branch, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) also took part in the 5,000m run, but did not finish.
Eagle Open (Results)The Saints also competed at the Eagle Open, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Friday.
Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) was second in the high jump, clearing a height of 5'5" (1.65m).
Becky Huberty (Lena, Wis./Lena HS) was third in the hammer throw with a mark of 181'11" (55.46m).
Amy Campbell (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) was fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.89.
Jordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) was also fifth in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 11:48.71.
Emily Schwantke (Brook Park, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS) was sixth in the javelin throw with a mark of 107'4" (32.73m).
The Saints will be back to La Crosse next Thursday for one last chance to qualify at the UW-La Crosse Qualifier.
