Women's Track & Field in Action in Illinois and Wisconsin

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team competed at North Central College (Ill.) and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Thursday and Friday.

Dr. Keeler Invitational (Results)
Three Saints competed at the Dr. Keeler Invitational, hosted by North Central College (Ill.) on Thursday. Brittany Ludwig (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) placed 19th in the discus toss with a mark of 115'1" (35.09m). Chelsea Johnson (North Branch, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) also took part in the 5,000m run, but did not finish.

Eagle Open (Results)
The Saints also competed at the Eagle Open, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Friday.

Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) was second in the high jump, clearing a height of 5'5" (1.65m). Becky Huberty (Lena, Wis./Lena HS) was third in the hammer throw with a mark of 181'11" (55.46m).

Amy Campbell (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) was fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.89. Jordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) was also fifth in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 11:48.71. Emily Schwantke (Brook Park, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson HS) was sixth in the javelin throw with a mark of 107'4" (32.73m).

The Saints will be back to La Crosse next Thursday for one last chance to qualify at the UW-La Crosse Qualifier.
