Chris Lawson (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village) placed 15
th and
Luke McKenzie (Taylors Falls, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) placed 36
th as the St. Scholastica men's cross country team managed a fifth place finish at the Pre-Regional meet Saturday in Pella, Iowa.
St. Scholastica finished with a point total of 136 placing behind the University of Dubuque, Gustavus Adolphus College, Loras College (Iowa), and Central College (Iowa) who had three runners place in the top five overall and ended up winning the meet.
Lawson, who edged out the 16
th place finisher by just 1.4 seconds finished with a time of 27 minutes flat, while Mckenzie finished with a time of 28:14.8.
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) placed 50
th overall with a time of 29:00.3 while teammate
Tim Dunstan (Dollar Bay, Mich./Dollar Bay HS) finished 61
st with a time of 30:19.1.
CSS will next race at the St.Olaf Invitational in Northfield, Minn on Saturday, September 20 with the first heat set to kick off at 10 a.m.
