MORRIS, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team won its 11
th consecutive Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Outdoor Championship on Saturday.
Points BreakdownAfter Friday night's competition, St. Scholastica led the University of Minnesota Morris 103-79. Martin Luther College and the University of Northwestern were tied for third with 32 points and Bethany Lutheran College was fourth with 26 points.
At the conclusion of the meet on Saturday, the Saints finished with a winning total of 233 points. Minnesota Morris came in second with 205 points and Northwestern was third with 60 points. Bethany Lutheran was fourth with 56 points and Martin Luther fifth with 55 points.
Record BreakersOn Friday,
Sammi Argir (Chisholm, Minn./Hibbing HS) won the 200m dash with a program record and UMAC meet record time of 25.49. She set a program record again on Saturday by winning the 100m dash with a UMAC record
time of 12.21. On Saturday,
Brianna Buske (Bloomer, Wis./Bloomer HS) broke a program record and UMAC record in the 400m dash winning with a time of 56.22. She won by over three seconds over second place and that is currently the ninth-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season.
Winners on FridayBuske took top honors in the 800m run, finishing in 2:21.92.
Amy Campbell (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) won the 400m hurdles with a UMAC meet record time of 1:06.32.
Jordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) took the 3,000m steeplechase conference crown with a UMAC meet record time of 11:45.13.
Olivia Krejcarek (Manitowoc, Wis./Manitowoc Roncalli HS) won the pole vault title, clearing 10'2.75" (3.12m).
Winners on SaturdayThe 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams came out on top with UMAC meet record times. The 4x100m relay team of Argir,
Breanna Shofner (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS),
Mady Urman (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) and
Jodi Sila (Cameron, Wis./Cameron HS) won with a time of 49.54. The 4x400m relay tea, of Campbell,
Emily Lundgren (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin HS),
Andrea Mogren (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) and Buske won with a time of 4:01.02.
Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) won the high jump, clearing a UMAC meet-best 5'5" (1.65m) and the triple jump with a mark of 35'3" (10.74m).
Brittany Ludwig (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) won the discus with a toss of 123'7" (37.68m).
Top Finishers on FridayUrman was third in the 200m dash with a time of 26.40. Mogren was runner-up in the 800m run finishing in 2:22.90.
Hannah Russert (Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS ) was also second in the 400m hurdles at 1:09.27.
Casey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) was second in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 11:45.90.
Danielle Dickson (Roseville, Minn./Totino Grace HS/Roseville HS) was second in the long jump with a leap of 17'0.75" (5.20m).
Brittany Ludwig (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) was third in the hammer throw with a personal-best toss of 129'2" (39.36m).
Top Finishers on SaturdayHovland was third in the 1,500m with a time of 4:55.56. Russert was runner-up in the 100m hurdles with a time f15.21.
Hailey Fentem (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) was third in that event.
Katharine Roetering (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) was third in the triple jump with a mark of 32'11.75".
Jadyn Bonasera (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) was runner-up in the discus with a mark of 116'10" (35.62m).
