csssaints.com) – For the second straight week,
Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) won the hammer throw and he was also victorious in the discus throw on Saturday as the St. Scholastica men's track & field team competed at the Lee Krough Invite, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College.
Winners
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) won the 5,000m run with a time of 15:54.21. He beat the rest of the field by 26 seconds.
Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) won the discus throw with a toss of 155'1" (47.28m). He also was victorious in the hammer throw for the second straight week with a mark of 189'3" (57.68m).
Top Performances
Luke McKenzie (Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes HS) was runner-up in the 800m run, posting a time of 1:56.75. Peterson was third in the shot put with a mark of 44'8.75" (13.63m).
Aaron Egelkraut (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) placed third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 58.99. He was also fifth in the 110m hurdles finishing in 16.53.
Adam Wallenta (Eagan, Minn./Farmington HS) finished fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 10:23.43.
Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) was fifth in the pole vault, clearing 13'1.75" (4.01m). Wagner was also seventh in the 200m dash with a time of 23.31 and in the shot put with a personal-best toss of 41'10.75" (12.77m).
Up Next
The Saints return to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to compete at the Phil Esten Challenge next week. Competition begins on Thursday with the start of the Decathlon. The other events will take place on Friday.
