DULUTH, Minn. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team competed at a total of three meets over the last three days.
Kip Janvrin Open
Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS),
Aaron Egelkraut (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) and
Mike Naumann (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) competed at the Kip Janvrin Open, hosted by Simpson College (Iowa) on Thursday and Friday.
Peterson finished third in the hammer throw with a mark of 185'3" (56.57m). He also finished eighth in the discus throw with a toss of 149'1" (45.45m).
Egelkraut was 19
th in the 110m hurdles with a time of 18.68. Egelkraut and Naumann placed 23
rd and 24
th, respectfully, in the 400m hurdles.
Peterson at Drake Relays
Peterson competed in the hammer throw at the prestigious Drake Relays on Saturday. He finished with 25
th in the event.
Saint Mary's Open
The rest of the Saints were in Winona on Saturday taking part in the Saint Mary's Open.
Kenneth Jinkins (Mendota Heights, Minn./Henry Sibley HS) won the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.12.
Adam Wallenta (Eagan, Minn./Farmington HS) won the 3,000m steeplechase edging the rest of the field with a personal-best time of 10:03.71.
Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) was sixth in the 110m hurdles, posting a time of 15.37.
Mason Gracia (Houston, Texas/Prior Lake HS (Minn.)) was eighth in the 800m dash with a personal-best time of 1:59.09.
Up Next
The Saints will compete for the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Outdoor Championship next weekend in Morris, Minnesota. The two-day event begins on Friday.
