csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's track & field team opened its outdoor season on Saturday at the Ashton May Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Top Performances
Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) was runner-up in the high jump, clearing 5'3" (1.60m).
Taylor Gibson (La Crescent, Minn./La Crescent HS) and
Emily Lundgren (Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin HS) finished fourth and fifth, respectfully, in the 800m run. Gibson's time was 2:25.68, while Lundgren finished in 2:26.59.
Hannah Russert (Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS ) was fifth in the 100m hurdles, posting a time of 15.57.
Katharine Roetering (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) was 10
th in the triple jump with a personal-best outdoor mark of 34'11" (10.64m).
Emily Conley (Marinette, Wis./Marinette HS) was 10
th in the shot put with a mark of 36'4.25" (11.08m). She was also 14
th in the discus throw with a toss of 110'0" (33.53m).
Russert was 16
th in the javelin throw with a mark of 88'8" (27.02m).
Breanna Shofner (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) was 19
th in the 400m dash with a time of 1:01.17.
