csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's and women's track & field teams had some competitors taking part in last chance meets in La Crosse, Wisconsin and Naperville, Illinois the last couple of days.
Gregory Invitational
Casey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) competed in the 5,000m run on Wednesday night and finished sixth with a time of 18:11.83.
Jordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) would break her own program record in the 3,000m steeplechase on Thursday night finishing fifth with a time of 11:17.08. That beats her previous program record by seven seconds.
UW-La Crosse Qualifier
Taylor Gibson (La Crescent, Minn./La Crescent HS) ran a personal-best time for the second straight meet at 58.87 in the 400m run to finish eighth overall.
Emily Conley (Marinette, Wis./Marinette HS) was eighth in the shot put with a mark of 37'8" (11.48m).
Kevin Wagner (Cleveland, Minn./Cleveland HS) was ninth in the discus throw with a toss of 109'3" (33.31m)
NCAA Participants Announcement
The official announcement of participants at next week's NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships will be made Saturday morning on NCAA.com. Wagner,
Jeremy Peterson (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS) and
Nicole Christianson (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) are expected to qualify.
