Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) led the men's cross country team with a second place finish on Saturday at the season-opening Tom Barry Invitational, hosted by St. Norbert College. The Saints would finish fifth as a team.

Top Performances
Gallagher, a senior, had a career-best finish on Saturday, bettering his time from last year by one minute and seven seconds at 20:50 to finish second, five seconds back of the winner.
Freshman
Cameron Pearson (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon HS) was the next Saint to cross the line in 14
th place with a time of 21:47.
Easton Foss (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) was right behind Pearson in 15
th, finishing in 21:57. Foss bettered his time by 55 seconds from last season.
Ryan St. Clair (Bend, Ore./Summit HS (Walla Walla)) was in 34
th, posting a time of 22:56.
Jimmy Lovrien (Alexandria, Minn./Jefferson HS) was the final Saint to score in 35
th with a time of 22:59. Lovrien bettered his time by nearly five minutes from the 2015 race.
Josh Trosen (Hackensack, Minn./Nevis HS) was 37
th and
Dan DeLestry (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial HS) was 38
th overall.
