SUPERIOR, Wis. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's track & field team took part in the Yellowjacket Open, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Saturday.
Top Performances
Kenneth Jinkins (Eagan, Minn./Henry Sibley HS) finished fourth in the 60m dash with a personal-best time of 7.26. He was also fifth in the 200m dash, finishing in 23.51.
Easton Foss (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) placed third in the 3000m run with a personal-best time of 9:14.08.
Adam Wallenta (Eagan, Minn./Farmington HS) was fifth in that event.
Wyatt Helgeson (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) finished third in the pole vault, clearing 12'5.5" (3.80m).
Frank Cerar (Plainview, Minn./Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS) was fourth in that event. Cerar also had a personal-best time of 9.19 in the prelims of the 60m hurdles.
Ben Fern (Sartell, Minn./Sartell HS) was eighth in the 400m dash, posting a time of 54.74.
Davon Bryant (Minneapolis, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) ran a season-best time of 24.70 in the 200m dash to place 12
th.
Gallagher Double Duty
Jacob Gallagher (Lisbon, N.D./Lisbon HS) competed at the University of St. Thomas on Friday night in the 5000m run. He ran a season-best time of 15:34.12 to place 23
rd out of 41 runners in the event.
On Saturday, he competed in the mile run in Superior and was second overall with a time of 4:37.02.
