Results
Top Team Scores: 1. UW-Eau Claire-57, 2. Carleton-68, 3. Minnesota-Duluth-101, 4. St. Olaf-107, 13. St. Scholastica-380
Race Winner: C. Hovland-CSS (22:15)

Top Performances
Hovland, who placed third at this race a season ago, but was the top NCAA Division III finisher, was nine seconds slower this year. However, it was enough to edge out sophomore runners from Carleton College and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Hovland is the first CSS runner to win the first two races of the season since Chelsea Johnson did so in 2013, the same year she won the national championship.

Elizabeth Poskie (Cotton, Minn./South Ridge HS) was the next Saint to finish, coming across in 109th with a time of 25:31. Freshman Lauren Dynek (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) was next in 120th, posting a time of 25:39.

Heidi Carlson (Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) finished in a time of 27:25 and was 203rd overall. The final CSS runner to score was Allison Gusk (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) in 215th with a time of 27:51.

Up Next
The Saints will have two more weeks off before they are back in Northfield for the Carleton College Running of Cows Pre-Region Meet on Saturday, September 30.
