CSS Softball Camp History and Philosophy:
Camp History and Philosophy
This is the 11th year of the St. Scholas- tica softball camps. Our goal is to present the fundamentals of the game in a way where each participant feels they gain knowledge and/
or learn skills and drills to make them a better player.
Aside from offering our usual winter and fall camps this past November we brought in Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy and Loyo- la-Chicago head coach Missy Beseres to put on a well received Offensive Skills and Pitching Camp and Coaches Clinic.
We have served more than 1000 softball players from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, South Dakota, North Dakota and Canada.
All camps are run by St. Scholastica Head Coach Jen Walter. Walter is in her 13th year at St. Scholastica. She is joined by Rilee Dawson, who was a 3rd team NCAA All American at CSS. She is in her 5th season as the pitching and as- sistant coach.
In 2011 the Saints earned the Upper Midwest Athletic Conferences’ first automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, by going 3-0 in the conference tournament. They went on to go 1-2 at the regional tournament and complet- ed the season with a 29-15 record.
If you are interested in having CSS put on a camp at your school please contact Jen Walter at jwalter@css.edu or 218-723-6422.
